Altacom
Altacom was born as a natural evolution of the family business, Metacom, which had already begun to produce furnishing accessories in the late 1980s with particular attention to their use in the increasingly reduced spaces of the contemporary habitat.
The extraordinary interpretative skills, demonstrated by the company, of everything that is “function” and “multi-function” have led to collections of transformable tables, extendable consoles, extendable dining and kitchen tables, height tables adjustable suitably complemented by chairs, armchairs and stools coordinated in materials and finishes – all in just a few years. And this is the functional heart of Altacom: a complete range of products, always in renewal and in constant evolution.

We believe that form and function must go hand in hand to create innovative, durable designs for everyday use. Since 1989 we have dedicated ourselves to Design and development of multifunctional sofa beds, but it all started in 1971 with a good idea in the spirit of the flower power generation – beanbags of the founder, Flemming Højfeldt.
As the concept grew, Innovation Living™ was rewarded with several design prizes and engaged in a very fruitful cooperation with the famous Danish designer, Verner Panton.
